Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about Sister In Strength, the JB Wellness Method™, and how to get started.

The JB Wellness Method™

What is the JB Wellness Method™?
The JB Wellness Method™ is a five-pillar system created by Jenn that guides women through Reconnect, Restore, Rebuild, Rise, and Sustain. Each pillar builds on the last, taking you from disconnected to empowered and strong. The pillars flow in order because that's how real strength is built.
What is the transformation path?
The Client Transformation Path has five pillars: Reconnect (Deep Core Awareness), Restore (Core & Pelvic Floor), Rebuild (Rebuild Strength), Rise (Trust Your Body), and Sustain (Thrive & Maintain). This journey takes you from feeling disconnected from your body to strong, steady, and confident in how you move.
What are the five pillars?
The five pillars are: (1) Breath + Nervous System, (2) Core + Pelvic Floor, (3) Functional Movement, (4) Strength Training, and (5) Awareness + Prevention. Every pillar of the transformation path rests on these pillars.
Who is the method for?
The method is for women rebuilding after disconnection, those with core or pelvic-floor issues, women in midlife or motherhood, athletes returning to training, Masters athletes, and anyone who wants strength that lasts. If you're a woman seeking real, lasting strength grounded in body-first, trauma-informed coaching, this is for you.
How long does the method take?
The Reconnect pillar typically takes 8-12 weeks. The subsequent pillars build progressively and are designed to become a lifetime practice. The pace depends on you, your body, and your life.
Do the pillars have to flow in order?
Yes. The method flows from Reconnect through Sustain because that's how real strength is built. No skipping, no shortcuts — just the right sequence. This keeps you inside the system that works.

About Jenn & Sister In Strength

What are Jenn's credentials?
Jenn is a Personal Trainer with specialized training in women's strength, prenatal/postpartum training, and corrective exercise. She brings trauma-informed, body-first coaching to all her work with women.
Is this a substitute for medical care or physical therapy?
No. Sister In Strength is coaching and education, not medical care or physical therapy. Jenn coaches in a trauma-informed way, but she does not replace your physician or pelvic-floor PT.
What is trauma-informed coaching?
Trauma-informed coaching means Jenn is trained to recognize and respond to trauma signals in the body and mind. In 1:1 coaching, she can hold space for nervous-system needs. However, trauma-informed coaching is not trauma therapy. If you need therapy, Jenn will support you in finding the right therapist.
Why Sister In Strength?
Sister in Strength means the practice is grounded in sisterhood — women move stronger together. It's a sister-to-sister approach, not hierarchical or clinical. You are coached by a woman who understands women's bodies, and you move alongside other women who get it.

Coaching & Offerings

What are the three coaching offerings?
The three offerings are: (1) 1:1 Coaching for personalized support; (2) Group Programs for community-based coaching with shared accountability; and (3) Self-Paced Programs for following a ready-made JB Wellness Method™ program on your own schedule.
Is 1:1 trauma therapy?
No. 1:1 is trauma-informed coaching inside the method. Jenn can help you understand how trauma shows up in your body and provide nervous-system informed coaching. If you need therapy, that's a different relationship with a licensed therapist.
Do you offer online coaching?
Yes. All 1:1 and group coaching is delivered online, making it accessible from anywhere nationwide.
What if I have a pelvic floor dysfunction?
Great question. Jenn works alongside pelvic-floor physical therapy, not instead of it. Her coaching teaches strength, breathing, and nervous system regulation in a way that complements PT care. If you're working with a pelvic-floor PT, Sister In Strength strengthens that work.
What if I've never worked with a personal trainer before?
Perfect. The method is designed for beginners and experienced athletes alike. Jenn meets you exactly where you are and coaches from there — no judgment, no assumptions. Many of Jenn's clients have never trained before.
Can I switch between offerings?
You can explore the offerings that work best for you. Most women start with 1:1 to get personalized attention through Reconnect, then transition to group or self-paced programs to sustain the practice.

General Questions

Is this diet culture?
No. Sister In Strength is not diet culture. Nutrition is part of the Reconnect pillar, but it's grounded in nourishment, blood-sugar balance, and fueling your strength — not restriction or weight.
Is this a medical clinic?
No. Sister In Strength is a coaching practice, not a medical clinic. Jenn is a Personal Trainer who coaches, and coaching is not clinical care.
What is the brand line?
Strong • Connected • Resilient. That's the destination of the method and the promise of Sister In Strength.
What does the tagline mean?
The tagline is: "From disconnected to empowered. From a weak core to confident movement." It describes the before and after of the transformation path.
Do you have other locations?
Sister In Strength is 100% online, so you can work with Jenn from anywhere. There is one Sister In Strength — Jenn — delivering the method online.
How do I contact you?

Who is Jenn?
I'm a registered nurse, certified personal trainer, and nutrition coach. I started figuring out my own body in my garage gym in 2017 and opened Sister in Strength in 2020. Coaching here is not medical care, but I bring a nurse's eye for safety to every session.
